The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Facilities Maintenance Tech I to join our team! This position is key in supporting our maintenance team with electrical, electronic, carpentry, HVAC, and plumbing tasks. The ideal candidate will be skilled in using a variety of tools and equipment while providing valuable assistance in building upkeep and repairs. Flexible 1st shift working hours are available to accommodate different schedules. Join a supportive and dynamic working team.

Job Duties

• Coordinates and oversees the janitorial service throughout the buildings.
• Gathers tools and supplies to be used at the work site.
• Assists maintenance by patching sheetrock, repairing and painting walls.
• Responds to calls for immediate repair of buildings, which may include repairing windows, desks, tables, doors, ceiling tiles, light bulbs, and bathroom fixtures.
• Plans and schedules to clean factory walls and ceilings; including painting when needed.
• Assists with factory visual postings, maps and safety signs.
• Responsible for housekeeping within the maintenance department.
• Analyzes machine coolant to maintain machine coolant quality in the central system.
• Performs related maintenance support tasks as requested and as necessary.
  
  

The Right Person/What We Need From You

• Requires a high school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• One year of job-related work experience.
• Experience in carpentry, electrical, or building maintenance preferred.
• Experience or willingness to become certified to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, etc.
• Knowledge and ability to use various tools and materials in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Ability to perform repairs on mechanical/electrical systems.
• Ability to operate an overhead crane is a plus.
• Should be able to read and write English to read and interpret work instructions.
• Ability to stand for up to 10 hours at a time.
