The Position:

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Facilities Maintenance Tech I to join our team! This position is key in supporting our maintenance team with electrical, electronic, carpentry, HVAC, and plumbing tasks. The ideal candidate will be skilled in using a variety of tools and equipment while providing valuable assistance in building upkeep and repairs. Flexible 1st shift working hours are available to accommodate different schedules. Join a supportive and dynamic working team.

Job Duties:

-Coordinates and oversees the janitorial service throughout the buildings.

-Gathers tools and supplies to be used at the work site.

-Assists maintenance by patching sheetrock, repairing and painting walls.

-Responds to calls for immediate repair of buildings, which may include repairing windows, desks, tables, doors, ceiling tiles, light bulbs, and bathroom fixtures.

-Plans and schedules to clean factory walls and ceilings; including painting when needed.

-Assists with factory visual postings, maps and safety signs.

-Responsible for housekeeping within the maintenance department.

-Analyzes machine coolant to maintain machine coolant quality in the central system.

-Performs related maintenance support tasks as requested and as necessary.

The Right Person/What we need from you:

-Requires a high school diploma/GED or equivalent.

-One year of job-related work experience.

-Experience in carpentry, electrical, or building maintenance preferred.

-Experience or willingness to become certified to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, etc.

-Knowledge and ability to use various tools and materials in a manufacturing/industrial environment.

-Ability to perform repairs on mechanical/electrical systems.

-Ability to operate an overhead crane is a plus.

-Should be able to read and write English to read and interpret work instructions.

-Ability to stand for up to 10 hours at a time.
