Job summary

Obsolete Site is seeking personnel to assist in the maintenance and repair of building interiors, exteriors, and grounds. The role may require operating a motor vehicle to transport materials and personnel and to complete pre-employment checks as required.

Responsibilities include patching, painting, surface prep, and routine upkeep, with variable shifts including days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the maintenance and repair of building interiors. Patches and paints walls, replaces faucet washers, light bulbs and fuses.
• Assists in the maintenance and repair of building exteriors. Prepares surfaces for painting by applying sealing compounds and primers. Finishes rough edges, smoothing them with file, emery cloth and sandpaper.
• Assists in the maintenance and repair of the grounds. Cuts grass, plants, trims hedges, trees and shrubbery. Dispose of trash.
• The incumbent may be required to operate a half ton and up to a one ton motor vehicle to and from worksite to transport material and personnel.
• If required to operate a motor vehicle, prepares trip tickets, performs driver's daily maintenance and reports any major repairs needed to supervisor. Performs other duties as assigned.
