STEP, Inc. in Lycoming County, Williamsport, PA is seeking a dependable Facilities Maintenance/Groundskeeper to upkeep our facilities and grounds while supporting our mission of serving the community.

This is a stable, year-round role with a consistent schedule and hands-on work. You’ll perform building and grounds maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, landscaping, snow removal, and facility projects, with safe, professional operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years of experience or technical training in construction, building trades, facility maintenance, or related field.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Ability to safely work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• General building maintenance and repairs.
• Carpentry, drywall, painting, and finishing work.
• Basic plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Landscaping, mowing, mulching, pruning, and lawn maintenance.
• Snow removal and sidewalk maintenance.
• Facility cleaning and janitorial support as needed.

What You'll Do

As a Facilities Maintenance/Groundskeeper, you'll perform a variety of maintenance and groundskeeping duties, including:

• General building maintenance and repairs
• Carpentry, drywall, painting, and finishing work
• Basic plumbing and electrical repairs
• Landscaping, mowing, mulching, pruning, and lawn maintenance
• Snow removal and sidewalk maintenance
• Facility cleaning and janitorial support as needed
• Moving furniture and assisting with facility projects
• Maintaining safe and secure worksites
• Completing work orders and project documentation
• Supporting other maintenance-related duties as assigned

PAY RATE: $16.63 per hour

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate

You take pride in your work, pay attention to detail, and enjoy finding solutions to maintenance challenges. You're dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to assist wherever need.

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of two years of experience or technical training in construction, building trades, facility maintenance, or a related field
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
• Ability to safely work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
• Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and lift up to 30 pounds unassisted and 60 pounds with assistance
• Ability to successfully complete required background and driving record clearances

Preferred Skills

• General knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and facility maintenance
• Experience operating hand and power tools
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Basic computer skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong customer service and communication skills
