Job summary

STEP, Inc. seeks a dependable Facilities Maintenance/Groundskeeper to maintain our facilities and grounds while supporting community-focused services.

This is a steady, year-round role within an established organization that values its employees and the services provided. You will perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, including carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical work, landscaping, snow removal, cleaning, and project support, with emphasis on safety and reliability for staff

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two years of experience or technical training in construction, building trades, facility maintenance, or a related field.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
• Ability to safely work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and lift up to 30 pounds unassisted and 60 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to successfully complete required background and driving record clearances.

Responsibilities

• General building maintenance and repairs.
• Carpentry, drywall, painting, and finishing work.
• Basic plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Landscaping, mowing, mulching, pruning, and lawn maintenance.
• Snow removal and sidewalk maintenance.
• Facility cleaning and janitorial support as needed.
• Moving furniture and assisting with facility projects.
• Maintaining safe and secure worksites.
• Completing work orders and project documentation.
• Supporting other maintenance-related duties as assigned.
