Job summary

CommuniCare is seeking a facilities maintenance worker responsible for custodial duties, safety, and general upkeep of assigned buildings. This role covers grounds, janitorial tasks, and security-related responsibilities at the Center.

Typical duties include inventory management, light maintenance, event setup, and assisting the Facility Manager with emergencies. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and be able to operate a buffing machine; driving may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to use various tools to perform duties, including buffing machine operation.
• Schedules/work locations may change; flexibility expected.
• Ability to drive a vehicle if needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties to ensure cleanliness and safety of the Center’s facilities.
• Maintain inventory and initiate supply orders for indoor/outdoor maintenance.
• Conduct light maintenance tasks (painting, floor buffing, move furniture) and general repairs.
• Assist in responding to fire/burglar alarms and emergency systems.
