Job summary

Community Link is seeking a dedicated Janitor / Maintenance staff member to keep facilities clean, safe, and well-maintained on a daily basis.

Responsibilities include cleaning, scheduling maintenance tasks, addressing work orders, and assisting with budget planning. The role requires basic experience and physical stamina to handle routine cleaning and minor repairs within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Six months related janitorial and maintenance experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of facility cleaning.
• Develops and utilizes janitorial and maintenance schedule to ensure implementation of scheduled duties.
• Ensures efficient flow and timely completion of work orders.
• Engages in painting and performing structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, and furnishings of buildings; assist supervisor with larger projects.
• Ensures all equipment, tools and machinery are in proper working condition.
• Monitors and controls supplies and equipment; submits requisition for supplies and tools as necessary.
• Communicate needs or problems to supervisor.
• Ensures safety related problems are corrected in accordance with safety regulations.
• Assists with preparation of facility maintenance budget; monitors expenditures; prepares cost estimates.
