Job summary

Goodwill Central Coast is hiring a Maintenance / Janitorial Assistant to support maintenance, grounds keeping, and janitorial tasks at assigned facilities. The role requires a safety-minded, dependable individual who can work independently or in a team.

You will perform repairs, upkeep, and preventative tasks across equipment, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, while also handling grounds maintenance and occasional carpentry or roofing work as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid California Class C driver's license.
• One year of industrial maintenance experience, or equivalent.
• Basic math ability and familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and report hazards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance and repair of equipment and structures.
• Maintain property grounds, landscaping, fencing, and irrigation systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs at facilities and satellites.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment; complete work orders on time.
• Support janitorial duties as needed and follow safety procedures.
