Job summary

City of Seguin, TX is seeking a Service Worker – Facilities to maintain City facilities in neat condition and assist in setting up and cleaning facilities for events and daily operations.

The role requires basic education, ability to lift up to 65 lbs, learn janitorial equipment, and hold a Texas Class C driver’s license. Starting salary is $17.85 per hour with open recruitment until filled.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and ability to use chemicals.
• Physical ability to lift up to 65 lbs and to climb/maintain balance on ladders.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions; learn to use janitorial equipment and supplies; make minor repairs; possess Texas driver's license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Opens City Hall each day and maintains neat, orderly facilities.
• Operates vacuum cleaners and cleaning equipment; cleans windows, doors, floors, water fountains, and furniture.
• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms; waxes, polishes floors as needed; changes light bulbs.
