Job summary

City of Seguin is seeking a Service Worker – Facilities to ensure City facilities are clean, safe, and ready for use. The role supports daily operations, assists with event setup, and helps maintain equipment and supplies across City buildings.

The position requires providing hands-on cleaning, basic repairs, and following written and oral instructions. A Texas driver’s license is required, and the team adheres to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and ability to use cleaning chemicals.
• Physical ability to lift up to 65 lbs, climb ladders, and perform repetitive bending.
• Ability to follow instructions, use janitorial equipment, make minor repairs, and maintain a Texas driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Opens City Hall daily and assists with cleaning and setup.
• Cleans windows, floors, restrooms, and furniture.
• Operates vacuum cleaners and basic cleaning equipment.
• Assists with events setup and breakdown.
• Delivers office supplies between City buildings.
• Observes safety rules and disposes of trash properly.
