Job summary

Kootenai Health is seeking a Facilities - Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and repairs across plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, electrical and related systems. This role supports a hospital environment with an evening/night shift and requires adherence to safety and established procedures.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints and schematics, complying with certifications, and completing assigned tasks on time.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited training school in HVAC, commercial refrigeration, electrical, boiler operation, plumbing or related systems.
• Must be able to read blueprints, equipment schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Certification or licensure in one of the listed areas is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs in plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, or electrical.
• Follow safety procedures and standard practices in area of specialty.
• Typically report to a supervisor or manager.
• Attend to related duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Meet age-specific needs of the unit assigned.
