Job summary

Twenty Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians is seeking a Maintenance Worker to keep Tribal facilities clean, safe, and functioning. You will support maintenance across multiple locations, perform basic repairs, and coordinate with outside contractors as needed.

The role requires the ability to communicate in English, a HS diploma or equivalent, and readiness for background checks, drug screening, and a Tribal Gaming License. Flexible hours including weekends are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 1 year related experience.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Must pass periodic random drug screens and background suitability investigation.
• Must obtain Tribal Gaming License.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operating condition of Tribal entities’ buildings and equipment.
• Perform simple repairs using basic mechanical, electrical, carpentry, painting and plumbing skills.
• Aid in planning tribal projects, remodeling, expansions and monitor projects by outside contractors.
• Ground maintenance of Tribal properties.
• Follow safety guidelines with Safety Coordinator and OSHA requirements.
• Present a positive image to guests and vendors alike and assist as required.
