Job summary

Kansas Crossing Casino + Hotel is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to uphold the integrity of our facility, including major mechanical systems, fire and life-safety equipment, grounds, and utilities. You will ensure cleanliness, safety, aesthetics, and guest satisfaction while complying with training and licensure requirements.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, the ability to read technical procedures, and effective communication with the Chief Engineer and department teams.

Qualifications

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Minimum 3 years in engineering, facility operations or a related area.
  • Occupationally significant combination of vocational education, apprentice training, or on-the-job training; or equivalent education/experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Working knowledge of Excel and Word preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the facility's physical structure and equipment, including major mechanical systems, fire and life-safety equipment, grounds, parking, lighting, plumbing, kitchen equipment, electrical and controls.
  • Ensure cleanliness, safety, aesthetics and guest satisfaction, in line with core values.
  • Comply with staff training/licensure requirements and assist with general upkeep of facilities.
  • Coordinate with the Chief Engineer and department teams to communicate work details clearly.
  • Maintain safe work practices in accordance with OSHA and HazCom.
