Job summary

IHG Hotels is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support hotel properties in Florida. The role focuses on maintaining interior and exterior areas, hotel rooms and amenities, laundry and kitchen equipment, HVAC, lighting, and related systems to ensure safety and comfort for guests.

Shifts include 3pm–11:30pm with flexibility for mornings and overnight shifts. You will follow safety rules, repair procedures and coordinate with other departments to support smooth operations and guest

Qualifications

• Advanced vocational training plus two years of experience in general building maintenance or construction.
• Professional certification and license if required by law.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs for interior/exterior of buildings, hotel rooms and contents, laundry and kitchen/refrigeration equipment, lighting, HVAC, ventilation, water treatment systems, and pool (if applicable).
• Ensure equipment is prepared and operational for the following day's work.
• Adhere to safety regulations and brand standards; report unsafe conditions or malfunctions to supervisor; may train staff.
• Follow procedures to secure inventory and assets; replenish supplies efficiently; minimize waste.
• Respond courteously to guest questions, complaints, and requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
• May perform other minor maintenance, repairs, or preventative maintenance duties as needed.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication with other departments.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
