Job summary

The Blossoms in Little Rock, AR is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance department, ensuring a safe, well-maintained facility compliant with regulations. The role requires supervising staff, coordinating with departments, and managing preventive maintenance programs.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of supervisory maintenance experience, strong knowledge of building systems, and the ability to lead repairs and improvements in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year supervisory maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to withstand inside/outside environmental conditions.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, electrical, plumbing systems.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Must be licensed per current standards and regulations.
• Ability to read/write/speak English.
• Knowledge of maintenance practices and governing laws.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance department staffing and scheduling.
• Inspect storage, work, and utility rooms for upkeep and supply control.
• Participate in facility surveys by regulatory agencies.
• Supervise outside service contractors per contracts/work orders.
• Establish preventative maintenance programs.
• Lead regular meetings with maintenance staff and inter-department supervisors.
• Identify and document maintenance tasks involving exposure to hazards.
• Conduct daily rounds to ensure tasks are performed properly.
• Maintain fire alarm and other safety systems.
• Perform carpentry, electrical, and plumbing repairs within scope.
• Maintain heating/cooling systems.
• Order and track inventory and supplies.
