Job summary

The Blossoms in Arkansas is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance department, ensuring a safe, well-maintained facility in compliance with current regulations.

You will supervise staff, schedule work, inspect rooms and systems, coordinate outside services, and lead preventive maintenance efforts for boilers, generators, electrical, plumbing, heating, and fire protection systems; on-call emergencies included.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance department staffing and scheduling.
• Inspect storage/work rooms for upkeep and supply control.
• Participate in facility surveys by government agencies.
• Supervise outside services per contracts/work orders.
• Assist in establishing a preventative maintenance program.
• Lead regular meetings with maintenance staff and solicit input.
• Identify tasks with exposure to blood/body fluids and ensure proper handling.
• Perform daily rounds to ensure maintenance duties are performed.
• Maintain fire alarm and protection systems.
• Complete carpentry and building repairs within scope.
• Maintain heating and cooling systems.
• Perform electrical and plumbing repairs within scope.
• Monitor inventory and order supplies.
• Head snow and ice removal for sidewalks.
• Be on-call 24/7 for emergencies when required.
• Perform other duties as required by the Administrator.
