Job summary

The Laurels of Gahanna, a Ciena Healthcare facility, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to lead the maintenance team in a 112-bed skilled facility. You will oversee equipment, coordinate contractors, manage the budget, and ensure life safety compliance to provide a safe environment for residents and staff.

Ideal candidates have supervisory experience, applicable HVAC/plumbing/electrical certifications, and a strong focus on regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Two years of physical plant and equipment experience in an institutional setting with supervisory responsibilities.
• HVAC, plumbing, or electrical certifications preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical plant and essential mechanical, electrical and SNF resident care equipment in safe operating condition.
• Coordinate and oversee activities of outside contractors and trades-people in maintenance.
• Manage departmental budget, ordering supplies, and inventory tracking.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal maintenance regulations and life safety codes.
• May supervise housekeeping and laundry departments.
