Job summary

Pavilion Management Company is seeking a Maintenance Director for Englewood Health and Rehab to lead the maintenance team and ensure safe, compliant facility operations.

This full-time role directs day-to-day maintenance activities, oversees preventive and routine repairs, and manages budgets, schedules, and safety training to uphold high Life Safety standards in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory maintenance/plant capacity.
• Licensed in accordance with applicable standards and codes.
• Previous experience as a Maintenance Director in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Long Term Care Facility preferred.
• Working understanding of electrical, HVAC, mechanical and architectural systems.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates, and directs the Maintenance Department, its programs and activities.
• Ensures Life Safety Code compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
• Reviews department policies and job descriptions annually and makes recommendations.
• Prepares operating and staffing budgets and monitors them monthly.
• Ensures proper training of maintenance staff on safety policies and procedures.
• Directs preventive and unplanned maintenance and repair work (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry).
• Develops and implements preventive maintenance tasks and documentation.
• Schedules department work hours, vacations and holiday coverage.
• Other duties as assigned.
