SNF Rehab & Healthcare in New Jersey seeks a Maintenance Director to oversee the facility’s maintenance operations, perform repairs, and manage preventive maintenance calendars. This role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and budget participation to maintain the building in optimal condition.

Responsibilities include supervising maintenance staff, coordinating with administrators, ordering supplies, and ensuring that fire alarm and generator systems are tested and documented.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent with basic training in electrical, plumbing, heating and HVAC systems.
• Supervisory experience is required for this position.

Responsabilités

• Supervise Maintenance Department and perform hands-on maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain building in good repair and free of hazards related to electrical, plumbing, heating, and cooling systems.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local laws for building and grounds.
• Test fire alarm and emergency generator systems weekly and keep records of results.
• Record and report maintenance activities as per department policies and procedures.
• Participate in budget planning for the Maintenance Department and order supplies with Administrator approval.
• Instruct and orient maintenance personnel; plan in-service programs as needed.
• Attend Department Head Meetings and participate in required committees.
• Recruit, interview, hire and orient maintenance staff; evaluate performance and address issues.
• Assign duties and schedules; remain on call for emergencies 24/7.
• Ensure safety of residents and adherence to fire, safety, and disaster plans.
