Job summary

St Charles Borromeo Parish and Academy is seeking a full-time maintenance and custodial worker to support daily operations for the church and school. The role involves opening facilities each day, assisting with events, and maintaining clean and safe spaces for students, staff, parishioners, and guests.

The ideal candidate will have experience with building maintenance, lifting up to 75 lbs, and a reliable work ethic.

Qualifications

• Experience with building maintenance and repairs.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Reliable and flexible for holidays/weekends as needed.
• Good communication with staff, students, parishioners and guests.

Responsibilities

• Open church and school for the start of the school day.
• Set up or take down furniture for parish and school events.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of buildings and grounds.
• Operate floor scrubbers, power washers, and hand/power tools.
• Perform painting, flooring refinishing, plumbing and carpentry repairs.
• Communicate information clearly to staff and public.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
