Job summary

Old Second National Bank is seeking a Facilities Assistant to support daily maintenance and operations across branch and office locations. You will respond to maintenance requests, assist with moves and projects, and perform minor repairs using basic tools.

A daily local travel requirement is essential. The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and a reliable vehicle for travel between locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and prior experience performing general maintenance or maintaining office equipment.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Reliable vehicle for local travel between Bank locations.
• Ability and willingness to travel between locations daily as business needs require.
• Ability to safely lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Facilities Maintenance Manager with planned and routine maintenance for Bank facilities, equipment, and building systems across branch and office locations.
• Responds to general maintenance requests and performs basic troubleshooting and minor repairs as appropriate.
• Assists with furniture moves, facility projects, and other general maintenance activities.
• Follows established safety, security, and facility procedures.
• Maintains an inventory of facilities supplies and equipment and coordinates the purchase of needed items with management approval.
• Supports the Corporate Paper Record Retention Program, including relocating and re-shelving boxes, preparing records for shredding, and entering stored-item information into the appropriate database.
• Manages and completes assigned work orders through the Facilities Work Order System.
• Meets vendors onsite and provides appropriate site access and general direction to support completion of scheduled work.
• Provides backup support for mailroom operations as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
