Job summary

Arcadia Care is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help plan, organize, and direct the operation of the Maintenance Department, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff. The role involves repairing facility and resident property, coordinating with departments and vendors, and ensuring proper upkeep and supply control.

The candidate will supervise safety and fire protection programs, inspect areas and equipment, and maintain essential systems to keep the facility

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
• Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical & plumbing systems.
• Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Repair facility/resident property; coordinate maintenance services and activities with other related departments; inspect facility for upkeep and supply control; and coordinate with outside vendors.
• Supervise safety and fire protection and prevention programs; inspect work areas and equipment; and ensure that supplies, equipment, etc., are maintained and utilized to provide a safe and comfortable environment.
