Job summary

The Williamsport Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join our team. You will be responsible for upkeep and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and grounds, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-2 years of facilities maintenance experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, repairing, and replacing fixtures, furniture, and equipment
• Clean and disinfect facilities, including bathrooms, patient rooms, and common areas
• Assist with groundskeeping, including lawn care, landscaping, and snow removal as needed
• Maintain and repair mechanical systems, including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to identify and prioritize tasks
• Respond to maintenance requests from healthcare professionals and patients
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations
