Job summary

Life Care Centers of America seeks a Maintenance Assistant to uphold quality maintenance in the facility in line with applicable laws and Life Care standards.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, inspections, and assisting in safety and patient care operations; requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year maintenance experience, and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. A valid driver’s license is preferred and ability to work on a team.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of one year maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems preferred.
• Knowledge of local building codes and ordinance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements.
• Inspect equipment/systems regularly for proper functioning and safety.
• Run errands, handle incoming and outgoing freight, and lift and move heavy furniture and equipment.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
• Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours.
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
