Esplanade Golf & Country Club at Lakewood Ranch in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Full-Time Facilities Maintenance Staff member to maintain the property and contribute to a hospitality-focused team.

You will perform routine maintenance across carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general upkeep; weekends may be required. The role offers growth within Troon and a chance to support a premier golf community.

Qualifications

  • High school Diploma or GED.
  • Two-year certification from Trade School or equivalent experience- preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine building maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC and related maintenance work.
  • Inspect buildings to detect malfunctions and recommend repairs.
  • Clean and maintain specified areas and spaces.
  • Operate and move furniture to reconfigure spaces as needed.
  • Walk through buildings to ensure safety and upkeep.

Esplanade Golf & Country Club at Lakewood Ranch, located in Bradenton, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for aFull-Time Facilities Maintenance Staff! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part ofTroon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks.
  • Performance of building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry; electrical; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); plumbing, etc.).
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.
  • Inspects buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair making notes and recommendations using a pre‑established check sheet.
  • Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools.
  • Performs minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, trenching and laying new lines, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices, etc.).
  • Performs minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.).
  • Reconfigures, installs, and positions modular offices and space (e.g. furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets, etc.) to accommodate user needs and maximize office space using various hand, power and specialty tools, dollies and hand trucks.
  • Prepares the surfaces and paints various structures and equipment (e.g. walls, refrigerators, evaporative coolers, floors, roofs, doors, restroom facilities, etc.) to preserve wood and metal parts from corrosion and maintain a safe, comfortable working environment using various painting equipment and related tools (e.g. sprayers, rollers, brushes, thinners, etc.).
  • Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, parking lots, and other work areas.
  • Orders parts and maintains required documents.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and weekends periodically.

Experience/Background/Knowledge
  • Two plus years working experience in a Large HOA or Facility Maintenance environment preferred
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry is a plus.

  • Must be customer service oriented.
  • Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance and punctuality standards.

  • Use miscellaneous office equipment (e.g. calculators, typewriters, computers, FAX machines, copiers, etc.).
  • Physical Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and climb or balance.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, and crouch; and taste or smell.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. At times, may be required to operate a motor vehicle.
