Job summary

Glorieta Adventure Camps is seeking a Building Maintenance Manager to lead the facilities team, ensure safety and operation, and support guests, staff, and the mission with excellence.

You will provide strategic direction, oversee maintenance programs, and develop technicians while staying hands-on in the field. The role requires strong leadership, reliability, and the ability to manage priorities in a dynamic camp environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance role including plumbing, electrical, propane, and HVAC.
• Maintenance certifications (Journeyman or other).
• Experience in management and supervising staff.
• Proficiency in or ability to learn Microsoft Workplace, Google Drive, and Gmail.
• Ability to plan, manage, and report budgets.

Responsibilities

• Set clear weekly priorities and adjust plans to meet guest-facing needs.
• Lead day-to-day work planning, scheduling, and ticket management through CMMS.
• Supervise and develop direct reports: Lead Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Technicians, Maintenance Associates.
• Provide regular coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.
• Coordinate annual and bi-annual inspections and maintain preventive maintenance schedules.
• Work closely with other departments to meet guest and staff needs.
• Spend approximately 60% of time in the field and 40% on administrative responsibilities.
