Job summary

Atkins & Pearce is seeking a Facilities Manager to safeguard and optimize our physical environment in Covington, KY. You will lead a facilities team, manage building systems, and coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure safe, reliable operations that support production and quality.

The role requires strong organizational skills, budget experience, and the ability to drive preventive work while handling urgent issues. On-site work with occasional adjustments to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, business, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years in facilities management, plant engineering, or related field, with budgets and third‑party contractors.
• Experience overseeing building systems and utilities preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to prioritize, make quick decisions, and respond to urgent issues.
• Strong vendor and contractor management with professional demeanor.
• Ability to relate and work with all levels of management, contractors, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Own the condition, safety, and functionality of A&P facilities.
• Lead the Facilities team and set clear expectations for daily, weekly, and project work.
• Oversee facility utilities and infrastructure and coordinate shutdowns with Production.
• Select, coordinate, and manage third-party contractors and service providers.
• Develop clear scopes of work for repairs and improvement projects.
• Coordinate contractor access and project execution around operations.
• Track facility projects, spending, risks, and completion; establish priorities.
• Coach employees on safety, quality, and accountability; develop team ownership.
