Job summary

Atkins & Pearce, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Mechanic to maintain the plant building systems, including lighting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and emergency systems.

The role covers daily inspections, preventive maintenance, and coordination with contractors for upgrades and repairs. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of industrial electrical/maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and relevant certifications (driver’s license, forklift, OSHA, EPA 608 as applicable).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Trade school or electrical training preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical and maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
• Valid driver’s license and forklift/lockout certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain building systems including lighting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and emergency systems.
• Repair and install plumbing fixtures and piping; perform exterior lighting work.
• Monitor RTUs and BAS related to HVAC performance.
• Inspect and maintain fire safety systems and emergency equipment.
• Respond to service requests and document maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with external contractors for major projects; maintain records.
