Job summary

CoAspire, a defense manufacturing leader in Northern Virginia, seeks a hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, safety, and compliance across multiple production facilities. You will diagnose issues, direct repairs, and manage vendors while ensuring high-rate production with minimal downtime.

This role collaborates with production, engineering, IT, and leadership to optimize space, improve facility performance, and implement emergency plans.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of facilities management experience in manufacturing or defense environments.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, OSHA/EPA regulations, and related operations.
• Experience troubleshooting real-time facility issues in operational environments.
• Proven experience managing budgets, vendors, and multi-site facilities.
• Active or ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems or oversee contractors.
• Perform and oversee routine maintenance and minor repairs (lighting, plumbing, hardware).
• Interface with building owners, leasing partners, and points of contact.
• Lead facility safety programs to ensure OSHA, EPA, fire codes compliance.
• Manage physical security, access control, and alarm systems with IT.
• Inspect facilities and equipment; drive budget optimization and cost savings.
• Coordinate with vendors for janitorial, landscaping, security, and maintenance.
• Support production and engineering by optimizing space and layout utilization.
• Develop emergency response, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans.
