Job summary

The Front Climbing Club is seeking a Facilities Manager and Technician to maintain and improve our Salt Lake City and South Main facilities. This hands-on role combines 80% maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and gear with 20% department leadership and budgeted planning.

You’ll lead staff, manage requests, source parts, and keep SOPs current, becoming the department's top technical resource with minimal oversight.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in hands-on facilities maintenance, with 1–2 years in a lead role.
• Ability to lead staff and manage facilities requests and budgeting.
• Advanced repair skills across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting.
• Strong troubleshooting, independence, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on repairs, maintenance, and improvements across all building systems.
• Lead facilities staff; plan weekly workload and train new team members.
• Source parts, coordinate contractors, and report progress to leadership.
• Maintain SOPs and preventive maintenance calendar and records.
• Respond to urgent repairs and seasonal tasks such as snow removal.
• Ensure safety, code compliance, and high customer care in all interactions.
