SEILER INSTRUMENT & MANUFACTURING CO INC is seeking a Custodial Lead to oversee daily facility upkeep and support a small team. This hands-on role includes light repairs, coordinating custodial tasks, and ensuring safety and standards across the site.

The position requires problem-solving skills, strong communication, and a proactive mindset. On-site work in St. Louis, with a comprehensive benefits package and company-paid training opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, custodial operations, or related role.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs; stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily operations and janitorial needs are met efficiently.
• Coordinate and delegate tasks to the maintenance and custodial team.
• Monitor facility needs for improvement and communicate concerns.
• May assist with minor HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Maintain exterior upkeep including landscaping, snow removal, and general care.
• Handle basic repairs such as painting and fixing light fixtures.
• Support and mentor team members to foster a collaborative environment.
• Work in varying seasonal conditions indoors and outdoors; manage inventory.
• Communicate facility needs and improvement opportunities to management.
