Job summary

Minnetonka Public Schools in Minnetonka, MN, is seeking a Custodian/Maintenance/Building Engineer for Minnetonka Middle School East. You will partner with school leadership to operate and maintain facilities and systems.

The assignment is 8 hours per day, 12 months per year, with a standard shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Minimum pay rate is $34.03 per hour, and medical and dental benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Evidence of supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service, leadership and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Works with building leadership and occupants to handle requests and daily operations.
• Inspects, monitors, and maintains heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, security, fire alarm and emergency lighting systems/panels.
• Monitors custodial staff performance, provides supervision and training, and reviews custodial assignments.
• Repairs desks, chairs, tables, lockers and other school equipment.
• Performs general maintenance repairs including painting, plumbing and equipment repairs.
• Coordinates exterior maintenance including lawn care, debris cleanup, and snow/ice removal.
• Cleans, tests, and operates boilers, water heaters, compressors and related systems.
• Coordinates receiving and distribution of supplies and equipment.
• Maintains positive working environment and coordinates facility use for internal/external customers.
• Orders and inventories custodial and maintenance supplies.
