Job summary

Osseo Area School District ISD 279 in Minnesota is seeking a skilled custodian/maintenance professional to manage daily building operations, perform routine cleaning, minor repairs, and help keep classrooms, restrooms, and grounds safe and welcoming for students and staff.

This role requires a high school diploma and a Minnesota Boiler license; compensation reflects Class 1 or Class 2 pay. The position is full-time, on-site, with shifts and opportunities to support facilities year-round.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain MN Boiler license to receive Class 2 pay.
• Basic computer and email skills.
• Knowledge of building automation systems and HVAC fundamentals.
• Experience with general maintenance and repairs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and housekeeping to district standards.
• Conduct minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs.
• Support kitchen staff with cleaning and stockroom tasks.
• Monitor and adjust building automation controls.
• Secure facilities and manage security systems.
• Report vandalism or unauthorized access.
• Perform grounds maintenance and snow removal.
• Operate and maintain building equipment including boiler.
• Provide excellent customer service to facility users.
