Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Lead General Utility Worker to oversee front and back of house facilities, train staff, and ensure cleanliness and sanitation across kitchen areas. The role may include delegation to other utility workers and varies by location based on client needs.

The position emphasizes safety, customer service, and cross-functional teamwork, with potential for shifts that require physical tasks and adherence to PPE policies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Ability to exercise judgment to solve problems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Extensive knowledge of proper use and cleaning techniques for kitchen equipment including steamers, ovens, mixers, grills and dishwashing equipment.
• Thorough understanding of basic sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Trains and guides utility staff on job duties and safety/sanitation procedures.
• Maintains and sanitizes dishes, cookware, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils.
• Cleans and maintains the dishwashing station, three-compartment sink, storerooms, refrigerators and related areas.
• Ensures equipment is clean and in working condition; reports issues to management.
• Performs other light maintenance and custodial tasks.
• Maintains excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests and staff.
• Adheres to safety policies and food sanitation procedures.
