Job summary

Wake County in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a senior IT and facilities management leader to oversee two teams responsible for IT and space systems within the General Services Administration Department. You will manage CMMS, CAFM, fleet, and telematics systems and coordinate upgrades and integrations to support County operations.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering/IT/Facility Management and at least three years of related experience, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology and Facility Management or related field
• Three years of job related experience
• A valid driver's license and "safe" driving record
• Equivalent education and experience are accepted

Responsibilities

• Lead 2 IT and space management teams including space planners, network engineers, system admins, and report writers.
• Understand end-user practices to provide proactive support.
• Coordinate system integrations and asset management across Wake County operations.
• Provide guidance for facility management systems; plan upgrades.
• Plan, test, and implement software/hardware upgrades; generate reports; liaise with vendors.
• Manage RFQ process for system upgrades and implementations with minimal disruption.
