Job summary

Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity seeks an Operations Support Technician to help maintain and support facilities, ReStores, warehouses, and construction sites. You will handle preventive maintenance, basic repairs, and safety initiatives while supporting IT needs for staff and office systems.

The role reports to the Facilities & Asset Manager and requires strong organizational and communication skills, with readiness to work in a fast-paced nonprofit environment and occasional after-hours

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, construction, IT support, or related field.
• Working knowledge of general building maintenance and repair techniques.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, Windows, and Microsoft 365.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.

• Must have reliable transportation and Ohio driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance of facilities, equipment, and workspaces.
• Complete minor repairs including painting, drywall, lighting, ceiling tiles, carpentry, hardware, furniture assembly, and plumbing.
• Respond to routine maintenance requests and resolve issues promptly.
• Assist with office renovations, improvements, and special projects.
• Perform seasonal grounds maintenance and beautification.
• Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and schedules.
• Assist with vendor coordination and monitor contracted work.
