  • Continually evaluate infrastructure assets to manage risk to employees and operations.
  • Lead inspections and assessments of infrastructure systems for performance and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with facility management to plan upgrades and expansions.
  • Develop and manage the infrastructure budget, including forecasting and tracking expenses.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and contractors for quality service and timely completion of assessments and projects.
  • Lead adherence to corporate and industry facility infrastructure standards and best practices.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the facility management team.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and assessments of all FI assets.
  • Track the mill team’s compliance with the expected preventive maintenance plans.
  • Work with corporate resources to adopt best practices and promote lessons learned.

Job description

The Facilities Infrastructure Leader is responsible for managing the infrastructure program to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all mill infrastructure assets within the facility. This includes the building envelope, and all structural, civil, mechanical, and employee experience related assets not directly tied to the production process. The FI will be the key interface between the mill leadership team and the GP corporate Facility Infrastructure team to ensure that all assets are operating in compliance with all corporate and regulatory requirements. They will also lead the development of the long-term FI asset strategy.

Our Team

Georgia-Pacific Toledo is a producer of brown paper used to make cardboard and is a leader in recycling in the Northwest. The Toledo mill manufactures both linerboard and corrugated medium and supports a fast-paced, continuous manufacturing environment.

The Toledo mill is located within a short drive of the Oregon Coast and offers access to fishing, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, and many other outdoor activities. The facility is supported by a collaborative team focused on safety, innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or 15-year equivalent industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of structural, civil, and other infrastructure systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets and projects effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret engineering data
  • Proficiency in CMMS and project management software and tools
