Job summary

The University of Chicago is seeking an experienced engineer to design, document, and manage campus and Medical Center infrastructure projects. You will develop bid specifications, read blueprints, coordinate with vendors and project managers, and ensure installation schedules meet deadlines while complying with infrastructure standards.

Responsibilities include managing budgets, reviewing bids, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders across the University and Medical Center construction

Qualifications

• Education: college/university degree in a related field.
• 2–5 years of related work experience.
• BICSI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop bid specifications and coordinate bid conferences.
• Evaluate bid responses and prepare scopes of work.
• Read blueprints and schematics for installations and renovations.
• Coordinate with project managers, users, and clients throughout installation.
• Manage budgeting and financial aspects of projects; process invoices.
• Ensure compliance with local and national infrastructure standards.
