Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in Chandler, AZ, is seeking an experienced HVAC&R technician to perform repairs, installations, and troubleshooting of site HVAC&R equipment while supporting plant infrastructure. You will rebuild pumps and motors, perform preventive and predictive maintenance, and work across HVAC, electrical, piping, and instrumentation disciplines to keep facilities compliant and productive.

Qualifications

• AAS Degree or certified apprenticeship in HVAC&R (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 3 years of semiconductor trades or industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to apply HVAC, electrical, process piping, mechanical, instrumentation, wastewater treatment, or UPW skills.
• Ability to interpret complex multi-disciplinary schematics, drawings, and O&M manuals.
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel; CMMS systems.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal building/environmental codes.
• EPA Type Universal certification required.

Responsibilities

• Repair, install, and troubleshoot site HVAC&R equipment.
• Maintain and repair factory support infrastructure including chillers, boilers, air compressors, vacuum pumps, scrubbers, and incinerators.
• Rebuild pumps and motors of wide range and size.
• Perform air-balancing for factory and office environments.
• Preventive maintenance on toxic gas monitoring controllers, UPW systems, and incinerators.
• Apply predictive maintenance concepts using thermography, vibration analysis, and eddy current testing.
• Perform low- and medium-voltage electrical maintenance.
• Conduct minor pipefitting maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repairs.
