Job summary

The CISD Maintenance Department in Childress, TX is seeking a full-time Maintenance/Groundskeeper to keep our buildings and grounds clean, safe, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors. You will perform repairs on plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, care for lawns and gardens, operate landscaping equipment, and assist with setup for events while maintaining records.

A high school diploma and maintenance experience are preferred, along with a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
Proven maintenance or groundskeeping experience.
Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC basics.
Ability to operate landscaping equipment and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Maintain outdoor spaces, including lawns, gardens, and sports fields.
Operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
Clean and maintain interior and exterior areas.
Assist with setup and breakdown of facilities for events.
Conduct regular inspections and report maintenance needs.
Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies promptly.
Maintain records of maintenance activities and supplies.
Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
