Job summary

Decker Truck Line, Inc. in Des Moines, IA seeks a Buildings & Grounds team member for our new terminal. The role runs Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with on-call as needed to maintain the shop and grounds.

Responsibilities include operating forklift and other equipment, groundskeeping, snow removal, basic electrical/plumbing, floor care, painting, stocking supplies, and helping with special projects. A valid driver’s license and direct experience are required.

Qualifications

• Previous directly-related experience.
• Motivated self-starter who takes initiative with minimal supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs.
• Valid Driver's License.
• HVAC experience a plus.
• Prior Overhead Door Maintenance a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, blowers, scrubbers, pressure washers and other tools and equipment as needed to clean and maintain the shop building.
• Mow grass and landscape upkeep; snow removal; light electrical and plumbing; sweep, mop, and polish floors; paint shop areas; organize areas; restock supplies.
• Remove trash and recyclables; assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
