Job summary

River Valley Community College is seeking a Facilities Services Assistant III to perform custodial, grounds, and basic building maintenance across the Claremont, Keene, and Lebanon centers.

You will follow safety practices, operate floor care machines, handle repairs under supervision, and support student and event setups. This role is based at multiple campus locations and requires a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or high school equivalency.
• Experience: Two years' custodial, grounds-keeping, or light maintenance work with equipment operation and maintenance; some supervisory or project coordination experience.
• License/Certification: Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily cleaning and sanitizing of offices, classrooms, labs, and facilities; operates various cleaning and floor care equipment.
• Performs grounds maintenance including landscaping, lawn care, snow removal, and related tasks.
• Performs general building maintenance and repairs including light carpentry, painting, basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks.
• Understands proper use of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.
• Moves furniture and equipment, assists in room set-ups for events, and supports campus operations at multiple locations.
