Great Bay Community College is seeking a dedicated 3rd shift Custodian in Nashua, NH. This role involves cleaning and maintaining facilities, operating maintenance equipment, and performing grounds upkeep. The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of relevant experience.
Responsibilities include sanitizing classrooms, maintaining grounds, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. A valid driver's license is required for this position.
This is a 3rd shift position that includes a $1.05 per hour shift differential.
Performs a broad range of general and routine custodial, grounds, and/or building maintenance duties on the 3rd shift, which may require the operation of maintenance equipment and driving. This position reports to the 3rd Shift Facilities Services Supervisor at Nashua Community College.
High school diploma or high school equivalency. Driver's license required.
One (1) year of experience in custodial, grounds, and/or building maintenance, including the operation of cleaning, grounds, or maintenance equipment. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.
Possession of a valid driver’s license.
Knowledge of the operation and care of electric sweepers, mop wringers, brushes and other household cleaning equipment. Familiarity with the materials, equipment and methods commonly employed in office cleaning operations. Ability to understand and carry out simple instructions. Ability to make minor repairs to cleaning equipment. Physical strength to withstand manual labor of strenuous work conditions. Must be willing to maintain an appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the agency appointing authority.
