Job summary

New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill seeks a hands-on Facilities Technician to keep our campus beautiful, safe, and ready for visitors. You will perform building and grounds maintenance, assist with events, and support custodial tasks under the Facilities Manager.

This role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, working outdoors in all seasons, reliable transportation, and the ability to collaborate with staff and vendors.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years proven maintenance or facility support experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in seasonal conditions.
• Excellent time management and safety awareness; capable of working with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building and grounds maintenance as directed by Facilities Manager.
• Assist with event setup and breakdown; transport tables, chairs, audio-visual equipment, etc.
• Provide custodial support as needed and assist with snow removal tasks under supervision.
• Respond to work orders, communicate status with other departments, and document activities.
