Job summary

The Wells Town is seeking a full-time Facilities Assistant responsible for the maintenance, repair, cleaning and operation of Town buildings, facilities and grounds. You will perform preventative maintenance, custodial work, minor repairs and grounds maintenance, and assist with snow and ice removal and Transfer Station operations as needed.

A valid Class C driver’s license is required; CDL is desirable. This union position offers a comprehensive pay and benefits package including health,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 3+ years in building or grounds maintenance.
• Valid Class C driver's license required; CDL desirable.
• Experience in public works, construction, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, clean and operate Town buildings, facilities and grounds.
• Perform preventative maintenance, custodial work, minor repairs and grounds maintenance.
• Assist with snow/ice removal from sidewalks and pedestrian areas; help with highway maintenance and Transfer Station operations as needed.
