Job summary

Williamsville Suburban is seeking a full-time Maintenance Assistant to ensure resident and staff safety by performing repairs to buildings and furnishings, and maintaining grounds including lawn care and snow/ice removal. The role is part of a 1199 SEIU union position with a full benefits package and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities include implementing preventive maintenance procedures, managing heating and plumbing, scheduling repairs, conducting quality checks, and performing carpentry,

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Minimum 18 years of age; HS diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Related work experience required.
• Basic knowledge of tools and their use; plumbing, carpentry and painting skills.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures.
• Manage heating and plumbing systems to guarantee functionality.
• Plan and schedule repairs.
• Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.
• Perform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry.
• Clean and assist with upkeep of facility.
• Upkeep of grounds, including lawn care and snow/ice removal.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
