Job summary

Greater Midland is seeking a Director of Facilities and Grounds to lead maintenance, custodial, grounds, and operations across all locations. You will drive standardization, asset management, and cost efficiency while reporting to the COO and participating in the Senior Leaders Council.

You will oversee budgeting, vendor contracts, and safety programs, ensuring reliable building systems, energy management, and regulatory compliance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering or equivalent.
• Certifications in a trade, project management preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and eligible for organization automobile policy.
• Minimum 6 years’ experience supervising employees and managing projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop maintenance, custodial, grounds and facility operations teams across locations.
• Set organization-wide standards for facility operations and condition.
• Manage Limble CMMS for asset care, preventive maintenance, and inspections.
• Develop asset management strategy including inventories and lifecycle planning.
• Establish and report KPIs; analyze costs, labor, energy, and asset performance.
• Oversee multi-year capital plans and capital project execution.
• Lead vendor and contract management including RFPs and negotiations.
• Manage departmental operating and capital budgets for cost efficiency.
• Oversee building systems, energy management and safety compliance.
• Ensure inspections, permits, and regulatory requirements are maintained.
