Job summary

The Salvation Army North and Central Illinois Division is seeking a Seasonal Maintenance Assistant to support daily facility operations across multiple sites. The role involves transporting donations, stocking supplies, and assisting with warehouse tasks to ensure a safe, clean environment for staff and clients.

You will help setup and teardown for events, coordinate deliveries, and assist with seasonal programs such as holiday drives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in facilities, warehouse, delivery, maintenance, or logistics is a plus.
• Valid MVR with a clear driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day maintenance and operations of the various facilities to ensure safe, pleasing, and reliable environment for staff and clients.
• Assist with the pick up of donations from various locations as needed.
• Pick up and deliver supplies that may be purchased from various local vendors.
• Make deliveries for various facilities of donated items to be distributed.
• Work with supervisor and/or departments to setup and tear down for events.
• Maintain an inventory of food items in the warehouse available to the Kitchen Manager.
• Assist with seasonal/Christmas duties as needed; including but not limited to.
• Delivery of coat barrels to locations as well as pick up coats.
• Delivery of Angel Tree tags to organizations as needed.
• Pickup and delivery of toys for distribution.
• Delivery and pickup of barrels for food collection at organizations.
• Delivery of food baskets to various locations.
