Job summary

The Maintenance Technician I at Benedictine is responsible for a range of custodial, groundskeeping, and general maintenance tasks to keep the facility, grounds, and equipment safe, well-maintained, and attractive in accordance with applicable standards.

Key duties include window/wall cleaning, trash removal, floor care (cleaning, buffing, stripping, waxing, carpet cleaning), basic repairs, and assisting with grounds maintenance and snow removal.

Qualifications

• Experience in a health care setting.
• Building and grounds maintenance experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and driving record meeting Benedictine requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial tasks: trash removal, washing windows/walls, moving furniture.
• Perform floor care: cleaning, buffing, stripping, waxing, carpet cleaning.
• Assist with building maintenance and grounds maintenance including lawn care and snow removal.
• Assist with general repairs to facility and residents’ equipment.
• Operate hand and power tools and maintenance equipment safely.
