Job summary

City of San Antonio is seeking a laborer to perform manual maintenance and cleaning duties in various city facilities, including the Central Library. Under supervision, you may handle lawn care, custodial tasks, and light repairs as assigned.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in labor or maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and maintain public areas with maintenance equipment.
• Clean, repair, and replace equipment at City facilities.
• Prepare City facilities for events.
• Participate in maintenance and repair of City buildings and facilities.
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance or repair needs.
• Operate tractor mower and other small equipment.
• Load trucks with sand, gravel, or waste material using a hand shovel, lifting and carrying material weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Perform related duties as required.
